My work as a therapist is deeply rooted in social justice and dismantling systems of oppression. I believe that in order to achieve a society where mental health is valued, we must deconstruct the systems of oppression that keep us stuck in a cycle of self sacrifice, invalidation, and denying our most basic needs.

I spent several years working as a therapist in eating disorder treatment, and am passionate about increasing accessibility to folks whose suffering often goes unnoticed due to not fitting into the very narrow stereotype that exists of these life-threatening illnesses (for one: eating disorders do NOT have a "look!").

While eating disorders are one of my specialties, folks on their healing journeys come to me for all sorts of reasons β€” whether it’s to process trauma, reduce obsessive and/or intrusive thoughts, release chronic perfectionism, discover a stable self image, heal patterns of codependency, or gain support during general life transitions.

I utilize an integrative approach, pairing psychodynamic insight building with concrete behavioral and somatic skills to promote overall well being, increase self compassion, and reduce shame. I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) trained and pride myself on showing up authentically for my clients in a way that makes self exploration and personal growth feel safe and possible.

In our work together, you can expect to have me show up as an actual human who sees you as a person, not a diagnosis. I truly believe that each of us does the best we can at any given moment, and I will encourage you to offer yourself that same compassion. I am not here to judge you or tell you what you should do, but rather, to help you build understanding around the "why" and to hold space for all of the junk that inevitably comes up when we start acknowledging the inherent suffering of being a human.
